No words can describe how inspirational this man and his art is to me as young afropolitian. I can’t wait to visit the exhibition this week and see Yinka’s work with my own eyes. I was reading the NY Times piece on him and it provided significant insight into his incredible career. For one, I never knew he was handicapped or down with the YBAs. You learn something new everyday…. 😉 -!YG
Yinka Shonibare is my favorite artist right now. His work totally blew me away when I first saw it. I’m so excited to see Contemporary African Artist getting much deserved props. The exhibition will open on 6.26.09 and run thru Sept. Kudos to the BK Museum….. -!YG
