I’m not sure what to make of this episode of the ‘Founders Friday’, but it was quite educational. Glenn Beck is the last person that I would expect to admit to how American history has omitted the contribution of people of color. At the end of the day we all have to do the knowledge about our history because it is the blueprint to the future. Check it out and let me know what you think. Go here for extra footage. -!YG

The iconoclastic singer/actress Lena Horne passed away on May 9th @ 92 yrs old. Mrs. Horne was a pioneer who opened the door for women of color in Hollywood & in the music industry.  Her paving the way for many of today’s female celebs to flourish is a testament to how her life inspired millions of people to challenge the status quo. May she rest in peace.
