My Global Hustle

YG x Waris Ahluwalia @ House of Waris Tea Room

Yesterday I spent the evening @ the House of Waris Tea Room with my buddy Natasha & Waris Ahluwalia (who stopped by our table). Some of you might know that I’ve been trying to step up my tea knowledge, so visiting Tea Room was step in the right direction. Natasha, Waris & I chatted (while drinking Masala Chai tea) about how the pop-up tea shop came to fruition in addition to other projects that he has in the pipeline.

Waris really took me aback when he shared that many of his projects are done with himself & his friends in mind. These projects just happen to organically germinate from eureka moments to big ideas, which I found to be refreshing. Many times entrepreneurs get too bogged down with the minutia of (too much) planning, when in some cases it is as simple as going with your gut & doing what feels right. I believe by putting in place tangible action steps things tend to work itself out. 😉

The House of Waris Tea Room will be opening until 10-17-10 (hours are Noon-6pm), so make sure you stop by for a spot of tea. -!YG

On My Tea Grind

Look @ what my “Wasabi” brought me back from Japan – TEA  🙂 Over the weekend I had the most amazing tea from Mariage Freres and after that experience….. I’ve decided to step up my tea grind. I’m not talking about Lipton tea either (sorry Joe Colli).

We’ve done wine, art & now tea is gonna be added to the rotation. Like many subcultures, tea has a variety of layers and complexities that need to be decoded in order to truly enjoy it. All my tea heads… hit me up & school the kid. -!YG
