I love it when my friends shine. BBC’s Outlook Program did an Interview with my friends Adama Kargbo and Vicki Remoe-Doherly . These young ladies r my Entrepreneurs of the Week because I know the grustle they have been on during the past year.
A truly inspirational story of creativity, faith and pure hustle. Their fashion line Aschobi is on the bubble & definitely is going 2 be a strong global brand. Shout out 2 the big homey Matt 4 making this happen.. 🙂 The interview starts at around 17 mins. -!YG
Shout out 2 Mr. Jumah 4 this one… Good Magazine/Huffington Post did a piece on my good friend fashion designer, Adama Kargbo. She moved back to Freetown last summer to launch her line Aschobi and by the looks of things she doing well. 🙂
Here are a few books that I’m planning to read over the next 3-4 weeks. Linchpin is the new book by Seth Godin, which was released in Jan. of this year.
I decided to re-read the Tipping Point because it has been 10 yrs since I was originally introduced to this book. I’m curious to see how much has change and/or remained the same since Malcolm Gladwell published this classic.
Flyboy in the Buttermilk was suggested to me by one of my OGs. He was adamant that I read the book @ least once, so imma give it a shot. -!YG
When I was in Ghana a few weeks ago, my gal pal Adama mentioned to me that Sierra Leone was experiencing an huge increase in tourism. Most of the tourist visiting Sierra Leone are from Europe and other parts of Africa. After years of civil war, Freetown (the capital of Sierra Leone) is emerging as the place to go on holiday in West Africa.
