I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving. But I do have a question re Thanksgiving. Am I correct in thinking that Thanksgiving is in rememberence of an act of kindness from the Native American population? Specifically, that one winter the settlers crops had failed and a particularly harsh winter had set in and the native population gave gifts of food and clothing?
ok, seeing as nobody wanted to educate me (see above comment) I decided to google Thanksgiving. Guess what….I was wrong. It seems that Thanksgiving is the equivelent of the Harvest Festival in the UK. In England this is a very minor event, although it is celebrated here.
