My Global Hustle

YG Dating Tips……..

So your V-day didn’t go as planned? Well…let me help U out a bit… ๐Ÿ™‚ No longer is dinner and a movie an acceptable attempt to get your “swerve” on. When I first make a new “gal pal”, my main priority is to get to know her and gauge whether she is worth my time. These recommendations will hopefully add some flavor to your love life. ๐Ÿ˜‰

1. The Coffee Date – Cafes are great for 1st dates because they’re casual and you’ll likely only be footing the bill for a couple of lattes and biscotti. It’s important to set the tone of comfort and reduce the pressure of your initial encounter! When a person is comfortable they will relax and let u see the “real” them and not their “representative”. Plus if u can’t have a decent convo in a Cafe “start the bus” because its a wrap.

2. Enjoy the Outdoors – A walk through nature provides a wonderful opportunity to spend some QT with your date, enjoy the outdoors, and show your versatility. When I lived in Switzerland, it was common place to take a stroll through the vineyards near my house & just enjoy the day. During the honeymoon stage (for me at least) I am interested in picking my dates mind. Enjoying the outdoors gives u an opportunity to have some true alone time. Make sure to bring some refreshments.

3. Meet for Brunch –The brunch date is a continuation of the coffee date and should be used for the second date. Due to the fact that this date occurs in the morning or early afternoon, there’s a high likelihood that your date won’t think you have ulterior motives. Again its all about creating that “safe space” and comfort btn U and your date. Remember in the beginning U are usually looking for signs of “crazor” and a few mimosa will do it……..

4. The Art Gallery – Most art galleries have one day of the week where entry is discounted, if not comp’d. Take advantage of this opportunity to take your date out for some culture. Spend some time reading up on the current exhibits prior to your outing, so you can “gently” style on your date. Another tip that I recommend is signing up for the mailing list at any gallery that you visit. Being on a mailing list will keep the information “top of mind” and reduce the need to scramble to find new exhibitions opening up. And it doesn’t hurt to make friends with the curators of the galleries either. ๐Ÿ˜‰

5. The Picnic รขโ‚ฌโ€œ What could be more romantic than a picnic? Only a few simple items are required for your basket: a bottle of vino, brie, bread, and fresh fruit. It’s simple and IT WORKS! ๐Ÿ˜‰
