Many people ask me….”YG how are you able to afford to travel to all of these fabo places?” Well….I will give a little insight on how I make my “Champagne wishes and caviar dreams” my reality….
Rule #1……
Start a travel fund… It might sound crazy, but obviously it works…. This is an idea I got from my good friend Candy a long time ago. It is something so simple, but oh so necessary. Many of us want to travel to those exotic locales and don’t have a clue how to make it happen. Usually the first excuse is… “I AM BROKEâ€! If you implement my first rule toward making “The World Your Playgroundâ€, you will always have surplus funds to take that holiday get-a-way.
If you just save a few bucks per pay check you are one step closer to making those travel plans happen. I have stuck by this rule for years and through discipline I have been able to maintain a healthy sum of cash to maintain my travel addiction. A travel fund also forces you to become a better manager of your money. I have always said, “It is better to spend $400 on a ticket to the Roma as opposed to on a pair of Ferragamo Loafers.” Which do you think will add more value to your life? And beside…..the loafers will always be cheaper in Italy… 😉
