Do Travel Writers Go to Hell?: A Swashbuckling Tale of High Adventures, Questionable Ethics, and Professional Hedonism
I just finished reading this book last night per Miss Grant. It was a pretty interesting read & provided me with many flashback moments from my global travels. This book highlights the ups & downs of international travel from a very honest perspective. From meeting a damsel @ the airport for a little “love & touch†to having $100 bucks 2 ur name in country where English is not widely spoken, this book runs the gambit.
I definitely saw a lot of not so “hot†parallels, but also reflected on many of the rewards that you receive as a result of truly immersing yourself in a foreign culture. There is a big difference btn visiting a country & immersing yourself in the experience. I prefer the later… One day I might regale the world with the true stories of Young Global…lol! This is a good book 2 add to your summer reading list. -!YG
