Ben Brako: Hip-hop is not good for Ghana
Ben makes some very valid points, but he acts like Hi-life is dead. Hi-life is ingrained into the fabric of West African culture. Yeah… the taste of consumers has changed a little, but at the end of the day you have to make hits regardless of the genre.
Moreover, the youth will always gravitate to music that is representative of their identity in some shape or form. Music is the soundtrack to life…. so if the music is not connecting a new approach needs to be taken.
