Purple Cow
I’m half way thru this book. Purple Cow is one of those books that all marketers or folks looking 2 create a significant point of difference should check out. The premise of the book is 2 encourage folks 2 take managed risk towards creating remarkable ideas.
The clutter in today’s marketplace requires companies & individuals 2 go “left of center” in order 2 be noticed. Unfortunately a lot of folks take these suggestions a bit 2 far & end up looking corny.
Why Corny? Well once something cease to lack originality and authenticity it becomes corny. Basically you r trying 2 hard! You or your brand never want 2 be perceived as trying 2 hard. 😉 Once it ain’t genuine it ain’t hot!
I personally think ZAG was a better read because it is not as verbose.. it gets 2 the point. I won’t be able 2 fully provide a fair assessment until I finish this book. Give me a day & we’ll see what is what. Shout out 2 Dana Dane 4 putting me on 2 this book. -!YG
