Dear Friends,
On December 26, 2006, *African Health Now* held its first annual “/A
Gift of Life @ Christmas/” a free community health fair at the Pokuase
Roman Catholic school grounds in Pokuase Accra Ghana. And thanks to all
your wonderful donations and support it was a huge success. With 25
volunteers who worked tirelessly in the beautiful, hot African sun we
serviced over 200 residents from ages 2-85 with blood pressure, blood
glucose, dental screenings and free informational workshops on STD
prevention and dietary education.
And once again with your support African Health Now will return to Accra
on *Dec 26, 2007* to hold another “/A Gift of Life @ Christmas”/ health
fair and for the 1st time /”A Gift of Life @ Christmas”/ will be in
Kumasi, Ghana’s second largest city on *Dec 29, 2007* at the invitation
of Dr. Sonia Sachs to conduct a small health fair at the Kumasi
Millennium Village Project**.
As you know the “/A Gift of Life @ Christmas/” health fairs provide
information and accessibility to free cholesterol and diabetic
screenings, primary oral evaluations, blood pressure testing and STD
prevention classes to residents in Ghana W. Africa. However, none of
this is possible without the generosity of individuals and companies
such as yours.
