FRANCIS BOY – THE PRINCE OF KUDURO

Francisco Alexandre akaÂ Francis Boy has emerged to become one of Â Angola’s rising stars in Kuduro. His Afro-futuristic aesthetic is part of a burgeoning group of African artists (i.e. Cabo Snoop, D’Banj, P-Square, Spoek Mathambo, and Blitz the Ambassador)Â who are creating a new ‘Afro-beat’ that is redefining music on the continent and becoming part of the international cultural zeitgeist.

Francis Boy’s sound is an amalgamation of Â musicial influences (i.e. hip-hop, techno, house, pop) generating a distinctive sonic experience which is refreshing in the era of the microwave musicial artists.

The buzz that Francis Boy has created with breakout singles likeÂ “Itocota” andÂ “Mboio” without releasing an album tells you that he is someone to watch in 2012 and beyond.
