“Kuduro” is a movement reflective of modern African youth culture that is reverberating in the streets of Luanda, Angola. Encompassing pulsating music, expressive dance and colorful fashion, “Kuduro” is a unique form of expression that is emerging from the continent and seeping into in the cultural zeitgeist. Artists from M.I.A to Diplo have been deeply influenced by the sounds of “Kuduro” in their music underscoring the continual influence of Africa in popular culture.

OS KUDURISTAS is an initiative that is committed to sharing the raw beauty of “Kudoro” with the western world via a series of live events happening this Fall (September and October) in several in international cities including Paris, Stockholm and Amsterdam.  

These events will be street (dance) battles and the Quintal, a 4 day celebration of events featuring fashion, panels, parties and concerts by Kuduro artists from Angola. Check out this EPK that breaks down what is “Kuduro”?
