Oscar Murillo x Larry Ossei-Mensah (#mercantilenovel)

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of chopping it up and building with visual artist and art world “it boy” Oscar Murillo at David Zwirner Gallery in Chelsea. Oscar is currently preparing for his first solo exhibition in NYC opening on April 24th. The exhibition is entitled A Mercantile Novel.

A Mercantile Novel is an exhibition where Oscar will recreate a candy-making factory at the David Zwirner Gallery. During the run of the exhibition approximately tens of thousands of candies will be produced to be given away at the gallery and around the city. Hearing Oscar contextualize the ideas behind the concept for the exhibition, I’m excited for the rest of the world to see this show. There are so many layers to this exhibition and the experience intended for the gallery goers to have, I’m curious to see what the feedback will be from the art world and non-art word folks.  It will definitely be the talk of the down for the next 2 months.  – LOM

Domaine de la Petite Cassagne Rose

For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@Youngglobal), you are well aware that I’ve started a fun little project to celebrate the warmer weather in NYC after such a brutal winter. The hashtag #ygswinepicks is designed to find great wines for under $20 bucks. For those of you who are wine geeks, you know that you can find wine with great value w/o breaking the bank.

Here is Domaine de la Petite Cassagne Rose , which I had the pleasure of trying over the weekend at a BDay gathering. I love the crisp, fruity, but not so sweet taste of the wine. It was easy to drink and great for sharing with friends. This wine might become a staple on my wine roster this spring/summer. Give it a try and let me know what you think. -LOM
