Cocktails and Curators honors Paola Antonelli
This was definitely a humbling moment to celebrate the achievements of Paola Antonelli, a curator that I greatly admire and respect. As they say, life it about sharing memorable moments… Shout out to No. 8, Derrick Adams, Hannah Bronfman, Beefeater 24 and Perrier for partnering with the MEDIUM Group on this event.
NEW YORK — “Being a curator is a great, great life,†Paola Antonelli said last night. The art world had gathered at Chelsea nightclub No. 8’s Cocktails & Curators party to celebrate MoMA’s senior curator of architecture and design’s near-20 years of achievement at the museum, as well as her birthday. The likes of Hannah Bronfman, one of the evening’s hosts, artist Mickalene Thomas, designer Dror Benshetrit, and photographer Michael Avedon were on hand to cheer as she blew out the candles of her surprise birthday cake and accepted the first biannual Award for Curatorial Excellence, a sculptural plaque of etched glass.
