World record achieved for Ghanaian artist at Bonhams Contemporary African Art Sale
LONDON.- Bonhams achieved a world record for the Ghanaian artist, El Anatsui, today (23.5.12) with an immense woven tapestry of flattened bottle caps, titled ‘New World Map’ which sold for £541,250 ($850,544) in London.Â

Why You Should Collect Art by Emerging Artists
Here is an article that I stumbled upon via Facebook (S/o to Nikita), which sheds a little light into how everyone can become a collector of art. Specifically, this article talks about collecting emerging artists which is a topic near and dear to my heart.Â
Emerging are the majority of artists that I tend to look @ for inspiration, meditation and even a good laugh. There are tons of amazing artists out there could totally benefit from the support of people who are interested and passionate about their artistic practice.Â
