STAR 100 HOLIDAY COCKTAIL PARTY
Annual cocktail fundraiser on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 at TriBeCa's Kristin Hanson Gallery. There will be delicious bites provided by Star 100 Member and Tropical Ghana Chef Charles Cann, afro beats courtesy of DJ Zuko, cocktails courtesy of Belvedere, a raffle and silent auction with the chance to win airline tickets to Africa provided by Arik Air (www.arikair.com).Â
With over 9000 votes cast, Rural Communities Empowerment Center has received the winning share of votes (48%)! Launched in 2002 by Philomena Amoako, RCEC was founded to provide library and ICT facilities, mentoring programs, and empowerment skills programs for women and adolescent girls. There are currently two centers in Ghana–the flagship in Apirede, and the second in Jumapo which opened in 2008.Â
