MOMA PRESENTS: A CONVERSATION WITH RICHARD HUNT
Recently the Friends of Education of the MoMA hosted a talk in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Richard Hunt’s solo show @ the MoMA. Hunt was the first African American to have a major solo exhibition at the MoMA back in 1971. Hunt was joined by Charlie Hurn (Director of Wild Style) and moderated by Anne Umland.
This event was truly a treat for me, because I wasn’t too familiar with Mr. Hunt’s sculptural practice before attending the event. By the end of the evening I was not only in awe, but truly inspired by the amount of accomplishments that he has amassed over almost five decades. If you don’t know Richard Hunt, please get familiar with this American icon. – YG (@youngglobal)
