Okayafrica is looking for a NY based writer/editor
Okayafrica, The Roots and Okayplayer's new Africa-focused music community is hiring a content manager/editor.
Main duties include the following:
- Writing blogs dailyÂ
- Research/sourcing content
- Writing occasional featuresÂ
- Editing blogs/features
- Managing a team of writers + contributorsÂ
- Creating editorial schedules
The ideal candidate would be steeped in African pop-culture and music, a strong writer with a unique voice, and have experience managing and organizing volunteers and contributors.Â
This position is full-time and based in the Williamsburg, Brooklyn office.Â
