What is Highlife Music?

This is part of the beauty of blogging… To be able 2 share some new information with folks… Highlife (or Hi-life) has been around since the turn of the century (historians say.. I will fact check that).It started in Ghana and spread all over West Africa. From West Africa… it went global… kind like me. 🙂

I know when I listen 2 it.. the guitar & percussion play hypnotizes me. If you listen 2 Fela you can hear the Highlife & Jazz influence. What I think is most interesting is the influence in Cuban, Haitian and some Colombian music.
