M.L.S. goes South of the Border 4 Talent

I guess that someone @ the M.L.S. has finally started reading my emails. 🙂 This is the most economically sound move that the league could have made. The reality is that not many players in Europe would forgo big bucks 2 come play soccer in the U.S. We have to take into consider that the league after 10 years is still in a growth stage. By getting players from Latin America, many on the cusp of becoming stars, it will:

Give the league exposure to an increasingly influential Latin demographic
Bring in young and exciting players
Raise the caliber of play in the M.L.S.

It will be interesting to see how this initiative shakes out. I have a good feeling it will work toward the benefit of the M.L.S. Who knows they might find the next Robinho.Â Dob Garber needs 2 get at me for those marketing ideas… 😉 -!YG

Sankofa Series in the Daily News

The show got a mention in the Daily News. 🙂 The best part is they actually spelled my name correctly…. 🙂 Definitely a good feeling 2 know that hard work pays off. I ran into Tariq Trotter a.k.a. Black Thought yesterday. He is still cooler than peppermint. From what I’m hearing The Roots’ next album is shaping up 2 be another classic. I’m looking forward 2 checking it out. I heard the track with Wale is nutz.
