M.L.S. goes South of the Border 4 Talent
Â
I guess that someone @ the M.L.S. has finally started reading my emails. 🙂 This is the most economically sound move that the league could have made. The reality is that not many players in Europe would forgo big bucks 2 come play soccer in the U.S. We have to take into consider that the league after 10 years is still in a growth stage. By getting players from Latin America, many on the cusp of becoming stars, it will:
- Give the league exposure to an increasingly influential Latin demographic
- Bring in young and exciting players
- Raise the caliber of play in the M.L.S.
It will be interesting to see how this initiative shakes out. I have a good feeling it will work toward the benefit of the M.L.S. Who knows they might find the next Robinho. Dob Garber needs 2 get at me for those marketing ideas… 😉 -!YG
