Alright. So most of us no longer watch mtv because really – How much tila teqila, the hills, real world/ road rules challenges can one person take? Oh. And don’t forget about the neverending top model marathons!
HOWEVER, this week they are doing something a little bit different. So. You know how lately mtv features an artist/band every week and all of their commercials feature that artist (think common, keyshia cole, the bravery, bad brains)? Well. Beginning february 18th, mtv is featuring dr. cornel west. yes. THE CORNEL WEST: princeton professor. Author of race matters and democracy matters. plays councillor west on the matrix movies?
Dr. West is one of the most important intellectual activists of our generation; in history he will be remembered as a great civil rights movement academic leader. Athough tila and the gang will continue to corrupt the kids – this week mtv is actually sending out POSITIVE messages to its audience! Tune in to the channel and leave it on as background… Check out Dr. West during commercial breaks and when the credits are rolling. You can also find some stuff on www.mtv.com
