Shout out 2 Jane 4 telling me the store was open. After getting an email from Jane about the free yogurt that Red Mango was offering I ran downtown. 🙂 I’ve had my eyes on this store (and new competitor 2 Pinkberry) for a few weeks. I actually ran into my “new” gal pal & fellow foodie Lareysa while waiting on line to order. She got original & I got green tea…. We were both pretty impressed. 🙂 Don’t tell anyone, but I went back during the evening & tried original 2… Yummy!
I’m still trying 2 figure out where is the point of difference btn Pinkberry & Red Mango. The workers at Red Mango bragged about using all natural ingredients & not powder like Pinkberry. I definitely feel like Red Mango is going for mass market appeal & not niche (i.e. Pinkberry). Red Mango has somehow meshed the pseudo-Starbucks experience into a whole new yogurt eating adventure. Only time will tell if this new entrant into the marketplace will be successful. Shout out 2 Dan Kim… Get at me & lets do an interview. 😉 -!YG
