I can’t front on this kid no more. I’m still on the fence about whether he is a star, but the boy can write a hit. Now I’m not saying he is the next Rod Temperton or Babyface, but The Dream has found a nice little niche for himself. I do know that R. Kelly needs 2 nip this 1 in the bud with a remix because it seems like The Dream is trying 2 Aaron Hall him. 🙂 Just listen 2 the rungs & close ur eyes who do u hear? lol!

So Y does The Dream work? Anyone who has read “Made to Stick” knows that the first rule for a hit is “keeping it simple”. Sometimes just keeping it simple & palatable could be the key to differentiate you from your competition. Some say it is dumbing down the music, but I feel like all things come down 2 timing. Right now this form of R & B will win out until the next big wave. I think “Falsetto” & “Bed” are the 2 best songs The Dream has written so far. I’m curious 2 see what else he’s got. I do know it might be time 2 find my muse for the next R & B mixtape. V-Day is right around the corner. 🙂 -!YG
