Open Letter 2 Three Stacks
3000’s album will come when its ready… I feel the sense of urgency expressed via this Open Letter, but as much as I love 3 stacks he will not be the savior for Hip Hop…. YOU WILL!
You being the people who consume, participate, and benefit from the culture of Hip Hop. I know 3000 will come thru with a solid project, but we who love this culture are the stewards and are responsible for the current state of Hip Hop. The culture has done a poor job of policing itself. People can make all the excuses they want about consumers being brainwashed by radio & the labels. The fact of the matter is people are consuming a lot of the subpar music coming out. Hate on Souja Boy all U want, but if no one bought the ringtones he would be blowin’ in the wind.
I agree once 3 stacks comes out he could potentially changed the tide of the music, but its still up 2 US not accept the garbage that is being forced down our throats. The best way 2 make a change starts with YOU not with someone else.
We all have a responsibility as participants within the culture 2 ensure that the music which is being released & supported is reflective of Hip Hop. So if people want snap or trap music that’s cool… If u want something with more substance that’s cool 2. But at the end of the day it is up 2 YOU as a consumer 2 make the decision about what music will be at the forefront of the genre & the culture. Shout out 2 Claudia 4 the link.. 🙂 -!YG
