The WSJ is reporting that a kilo is going for almost 44k per. in the EU. (NY avg per WSJ = 12,5 – 26k per). Cats are making € hand over fist & its becoming a problem in the EU.(The Inventors of the White Powder per Cocaine: An Unauthorized Biography) I’m sure that my banker friends can shed some light on the money laundering situation, because it seems pretty complex.
While living in the EU I knew my fair share of individuals that participated in this business & many were caking off. I’m still trying to figure out what they did with the Lambo in the Swiss Mountains…. 😮
With that being said the state of the global economy is only going to make things more complex in terms of enforcement because at the end of the day “Cash is King”. (well maybe Euros now…. 😉 ) We also have to consider the social impact that the increase in demand will have in these European cities. I guess no one told them that “Crack is Wack”. The WSJ also mention that there was a West African connection which I also found to be interesting. The Cartels seem to be targeting the right folks to keep their business thriving.  Check out the article.-!YGÂ
