Alicia Keys ft. John Mayer – Lesson Learned
This is one of my favorite songs on the album ( “Wreckless Love” is the best 1 in my opinion). I wanted 2 wait on posting it, but I’ve been listening 2 it all afternoon. A. Keys definitely has a gift for writing/co-writing some really beautiful songs. It’s a real lost art for R&B heads like myself who love the writing in addition 2 the music. I guess its all of those years under the tutelage of Commissioner Gordon that gave me such a discerning ear 4 good music. (Go Back & Listen 2 MisEducation & Supernatural 2 understand… Talk about learning on the job) 😉
My money is on this song 2 be the Grammy single. It’s that crossover hit & when they perform it… OH BUDDY….. 🙂 Linda Perry & Marsha Ambrosius also sprinkle a little flavor on a couple of tracks on this album. My thoughts on the whole body of work? Well…… -!YG
