I watched some startling information on the news last night. It appears that counterfeit Magnum Condoms are being sold in Harlem. Why does it matter? Well as a long time patron of this product I was truly appalled and disappointed by this development. Those in the 357 club know what I’m talking about. I debated on whether or not 2 share this info because 4 some it might be TMI, but the fact of the matter is people need 2 be aware. The risk is 2 great not 2 be in the know about this scam…..
What makes matters worse is while in Harlem last weekend, I actually purchased a pack of these faux pieces of latex. Luckily I did not open the box until I saw the expose on the news last night. It was quite comical what they were passing off as a 357 Gold Foils.
How do u know if your mags r real or fake? Well first 357 Gold Foils are made of well… Gold Foil. The fake ones are made of plastic & are actually smaller then the normal 357s. The key is 2 fold the mag at the corner if it does not bend, its faux.
The best way 2 avoid any issues is 2 purchase your condoms from the pharmacy or a reputable drug store….. DO NOT BUY THEM FROM CORNER BODEGA!
