YG Movie Pick: Tsotsi
Looking to make it a “Blockbuster Night”? Last night I “FINALLY” watched Tsotsi …… Tsotsi provides a rare look into the raw and gritty township lifestyle that South Africa is notorious for. The main character Tsotsi (which means gangster) is a G who has the “eye of the tiger“. His “mean streak” is comparable to Lil Ze from City of God, but in the end you do see Tsotsi’s humanity. This is a well made film that I’m sure can be enjoy on any given “Blockbuster Night“. Not for nothing… Tsotsi did win an Oscar for “Best Foreign Film“…. Check out the trailer!
