Happy Friday! Here is something to get you into that weekend mood. If you are a big fan of Anime….today is your lucky day. If you have never watched Japanese Anime… hopefully the exposure will pique your interest. Here is a link to the first 3 episodes from the series Afro Samurai. I watched them yesterday and this show is a great sub. for those of U who miss watching the Boondocks. Most of you know that I don’t watch much TV, but this show is 150% worth checking out. Mr Square Pants…. u a fool for this 1!
NYC can be a bit chaotic especially if you’re a work-a-holic hitmaker. If you have money to burn, take a note from Kanye West. Dezeen Magazine has some great pictures of Kanye’s new NYC apartment which is being designed by Claudio Silverstrin. The apartment is minimalism at it’s best and truly serene. I guess when you’re in such high demand you need your personal space to be a refuge. HGTV addicts eat your heart out.
Check out some pics of the apt…

The other night I went to an exhibition for a very talented artist: Alexis Peskine! Forget the fact that he holds a M.A. and M.F.A (makes my MBA look wack..lol), this young man is a bad boy. For me it’s always a pleasure when you meet an individual whose talents matches their passion for their craft. I found his work to be truly inspirational and really refreshing.
Mr. Alexis Peskine
This is my favorite piece from the collection.
The material is DENIM…dope!
Alexis made this piece without using the color BLACK, simply amazing.
Alexis’ next exhibition entitled: “LIFE STILL” will be at ArtCore- NYC in DUMBO . The reception is on Feb. 22 from 6-pm. If you would like to see more of Alexis’ work check out his site: www.myspace.com/alexispeskine
