Sipping on Crushed Grapes…..
Happy Friday Folks…Hope that u r well… Since crushed grapes are the theme for today, I thought I would share a few of my favorite vinos with u. I always try to keep it simple when it comes to vino. When it all boils down, all of the rules to enjoying a great glass of wine go out of the window. It all comes down to what u like…u do not have to be a connoisseur of fine wines, but knowing the basics will prevent you from buying dessert wine for a hot date…lol
Ok, so some of my favorites:
Yellowtail- Pinot Grigio
( great for spicy food or just sippin’ w/ friends.)
Dôle Blanche du Valais AOC
(great swiss wine….just really yummy)
2004 Chardonnay Carneros
(For all my lushes….here is a nice Cali wine. I have always found that Cali makes a great Chardy, not as oaky as old world wines. )
Well those are just a few suggestions….More wine tidbits in the coming months. We will definitely explore the difference between new and old world wines.

There’s a Chardonnay from South Africa that I have to put you on to…. it’s $12 a glass but soooo worth it. I had my “sippy sippy” at Ruby Foos the other night.

Just thought I’d put you onto my new everyday favorite wine. Sycamore Canyon (Cabernet Sauvignon) by Ernest & Julio Gallo. This ia a really smooth red from California. Great aroma, dark fruits (blackcurrent, redcurrents, blackberry) with a hint of chocolateand oak. Fantastic on its’ own or with game, beouf bourguignon, good cheese….
This little beauty retails in the UK for approx £9.00 per bottle(in the US this is approx $18.00)
Enjoy….
